Nehir Cagla Yasar was born on October 9, 2002, in Istanbul, Turkey. She is a Turkish cinema, television, and theatre actress. She graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts High School Theatre Department and went on to study at Halic University Conservatory Theatre Department, graduating at the top of her class in 2024.She launched her professional acting career at the age of 9, starring in the leading role as Nehir, a character gifted with the power of water manipulation, in Hititya: Madalyonun Sirri (filmed during 2011 and 2012, released in 2013), which holds the historic distinction of being Turkey's very first fantastic children's feature film. During the same period, she starred in a prominent commercial film for Turkcell, Turkey's leading telecommunications company, and portrayed the middle-aged character Feride in the acclaimed television series Calikusu (2013), directed by Cagan Irmak.Throughout her steady career, she performed in numerous successful productions, portraying Elif in the hit comedy-crime series Ulan Istanbul (2014), Basak in Ya Nasip Ya Kismet (2015), Birsen in the family comedy series Cifte Saadet (2016), and Burcu in the crime drama series Cember (2017). She also appeared in the action drama Carpisma (2018) and portrayed Young Gulru in the psychological drama Masumlar Apartmani (2021). Most recently, she reunited with acclaimed director Cagan Irmak, gaining recognition for her performance as Gulnihal in his Netflix original period sci-fi drama series Yaratilan (2023), and portrayed Dilek in the GAIN digital platform absurd comedy series Dunya Bu (2023). She continues her professional acting career.
