Nehir Cagla Yasar was born on October 9, 2002, in Istanbul, Turkey. She is a Turkish actress known for her work in cinema, television, and theatre. She graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts High School, Department of Theatre, and continued her higher education at Halic University Conservatory, Department of Theatre, graduating at the top of her class in 2024. She began her professional acting career at the age of 9 by starring as "Nehir," a character with water-bending powers, in "Hititya: Madalyonun Sirri" (2013), which holds the historical distinction of being Turkey's first fantastic children's feature film, with production spanning from 2011 to 2012. Around the same period, she appeared in a major commercial for Turkcell, Turkey's leading telecommunications company, and portrayed the teenage "Feride" in the acclaimed television series "Calikusu" (2013), directed by the master director Cagan Irmak. Throughout her steady career, she has performed in numerous successful productions, portraying "Elif" in the hit comedy-crime series "Ulan Istanbul" (2014), "Basak" in the film "Ya Nasip Ya Kismet" (2015), "Birsen" in the family comedy series "Cifte Saadet" (2016), and "Burcu" in the crime drama series "Cember" (2017). She also appeared in the action drama "Carpisma" (2018) and portrayed "Young Gulru" in the psychological drama series "Masumlar Apartmani" (2021). Most recently, she reunited with master director Cagan Irmak, drawing praise for her performance as "Gulnihal" in his Netflix original period sci-fi drama series "Yaratilan" (2023), and portrayed "Dilek" in the absurd comedy series "Dunya Bu" (2023) on the digital platform GAIN.
