James Will Day is a self taught Screenwriter and Director who has been making short films since the age of 14. In 2024 he made “Eye Block” a satirical drama short film exploring the use of smartphones. After releasing “Eye Block” James set himself out to write and direct a feature length film. This production became a screenplay called “Brainshine”, an idea James had had for a while and spent 3 months writing. In the summer of 2025, with a script, his own money and a passionate cast of actors and friends; he shot “Brainshine” at the age of 18. The following year he shot "Living on the Dial" another feature film which he shot in half the time for “Brainshine” and with half the budget.
